Bush Regeneration

We pride ourselves on our thorough weed control services that focus on restoring native species. Using the Bradley Method we work from the good areas to the bad incrementally removing weeds and encouraging natural regeneration of local species. We use a variety of techniques in a holistic approach to natural areas restoration including hand weeding, cut and paint, scrape and paint, brushcutting and where necessary spot spraying. You can see some examples of our weed control work below.

We are committed to minimising our use of herbicides and while we do use herbicide we primarily use it in low risk application methods and only use foliar spraying as a last resort. If you would prefer a fully organic approach we can do that too.

Processing Waste

All the non-viable organic waste we produce is processed on site. When clearing large expanses of dense weeds such as Lantana camara and Ligustrum sinense (Privet) we cut materials down into small pieces that are unlikely to reshoot and use them as a mulch to surpress regrowth of weeds and feed the nutrients back into the system improving soil life. Our whole process is dedicated to regenerating natural systems and removing organic matter from site also removes nutrients. Where possible we avoid piling of materials as large piles of dead plant materials not only poses a fire risk but can also harbour weed seeds making weeds that germinate within them difficult to deal with. If needed we can remove organic matter or make small burn piles of weeds and burn them off at appropriate times pending permits.

Any weed materials such as madeira vine tubers that are likely to regrow are bagged and removed from site.
